Some things just aren’t fair
Is it fair that there are mountains when valleys flood? Is it fair that there are rivers when there are parched deserts favoring cactus?
Is it fair that some are thin while others are fat, while some are decisive and others don’t know where they’re at?
Is it fair to have straight hair when the fashion is curls? Or strength that surpasses the strength of most girls?
Is it sane, is it proper to sit here and feel, that what we think is reality ain’t really real?
The intersections of time and space elevate some while submering others into couldrons of despair or inertia. If enough time passes they may exchange their positions screaming “justice” or “foul” at the time and place that bestowes more grace to others.
There are some who demand that all mountains become valleys or that success be punished for daring to frolic in good fortune.
Eternity still laughs at those transfixed on the moment.
